To provide an international network to enhance the lives of dogs by:- |

Promoting kind and humane dog training. Advancing knowledge of dogs, their behaviour, communication and training. Furthering the understanding of the relationships between dogs and humans. Understanding the differing cultures relating to dog ownership. |

The PDTE regards a 'trainer' as anyone who has a relationship with dogs with the aim of living in harmony, engendering mutual respect and giving people the desire and responsibility to be considerate of both social groups. |
